I am 16 years old and I was molested by a family member for years. I will never recover from this. The guy that did this to me only got 2 months in jail. That was a slap in the face. Its almost like the judge doesnt even care. Maybe judges should take classes on child abuse to fully understand what its like to be a victim. I cant sign your petition but I am glad you guys are doing it. It makes me feel like you are guys are sticking up for me. People like you guys understand victims, and for that I thank you. Thank you for being my voice.
Is there a better picture you could put up of the girls? It doesnt look good because they are flashing gang signs. Just an idea.
anonymous - I live in the Seattle/Tacoma area of WA and unfortunately the image that is on the post is the only one I've ever seen released to the public. The local media has croped the image at times to try and remove the gang signs, but I'm not sure that it does them justice. I think these little girls were selected by Duncan because they were children at risk. In a way, I think the image reflects that.
If thats the case then it reflects on the parents. Thats not good in my eyes. I dont want the picute to do that. It makes the parents look like it was their fault, which its not. Cant one strike get a different picture from the family?
If someone wants to find a better pic I would be more than happy to upload. This was the only pic I could find.
